Serenity Invincible 14
Did you know the cricket ball is 3″ in diameter and about 9″ in circumference.
But with something that you can grab in your palms, you can create so many wonders with it.
You can fox a batsman with a leg cutter, tease them with a slower one, outwit them with an off cutter, pitch it up, swing it around, crush toes with a Yorker, confuse them with a googly, scare the hell out with a bouncer. And so much more…
Our Serenity Invincible 14 did exactly that. Their quiver of skillful arrows boasted of these variations, and their repertoire of shots was simply exemplary!
Invincible isn’t just an eulogy, they’ve truly earned that title for having beaten 5/5 in the recently concluded Brigade Meadows Unity Premier League, a tournament that brought together multifarious teams across apartment complexes in and around Kanakapura Road.
12 teams across 4 groups, with 2 league matches followed by QF , SF and finale, and our boys kept saying “bring ’em on”!
In the run up to the tournament, they didn’t leave any stone unturned as far as match preparation goes. Every trick in the book, and off the book was well rehearsed to prepare for the showdown weekend on Feb 15&16.
Call it a post Valentine hangover, our boys showed what it meant to win Hearts and Trophies at the same time.
We went with two teams in tow, one to bamboozle the others, and second to with an eye on the future so as to have a healthy battle-tested squad of 25 available for picking!
